Elementary Teaching Position
Job Description: The School District of Wabeno Area has a full-time regular Elementary Teaching Position open for the 2013-2014 school year. Wisconsin DPI certification in elementary education is required, K-6 preferred.
Qualifications: School District of Wabeno Area is seeking a primary elementary teacher. The successful candidate will have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, use a variety of instructional methods, differentiate instruction, use formative assessment results to plan instruction, be familiar with Common Core Standards, have preparation and training in elementary school education, and be able to successfully integrate technology into the curriculum.
Requirements: Wisconsin DPI certification in elementary education is required, K-6 preferred.

Full Time Emotional Behavior Disabilities Teacher
Job Description: The School District of Wabeno Area is accepting applications for the position of Special Education Teacher in our Emotional Behavioral Disabilities-Cross Categorical program at the elementary school level. This is a full-time position to begin in the 2013-14 school year. The program primarily services students with Emotional Behavioral Disabilities, but also services students with other learning needs. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Creating, updating, and implementing the IEP's for all assigned students in a timely and professional manner, and evaluating new students as assigned. Applications need to relflect a willingness to participate in academic/behavioral grade level teams and to promote and contribute to our positive school climate.

Great Employment Opportunity in the Wabeno Area School District
The School District of Wabeno Area is looking for substitute bus drivers. Substitute drivers may be asked to drive for the regular morning and afternoon bus routes as well as for some special activities. Applicant must possess or be willing to obtain a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with a school bus endorsement. Applicant must be a high school graduate, possess a GED or HSED, or be in the process of obtaining GED or HSED. Pay is $11.61 per hour.

K-12 Library Media Specialist
Job Description: Full time position available beginning with the 2013-2014 school year. This is a unique position serving preK-12 in two neighboring school districts. The School District of Wabeno Area and the Laona School District are eager to share the services of a dynamic individual. The selected candidate will have the support of library aides and a Technology Coordinator. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: managing the library/media centers; assisting with the districts’ combined information and technology literacy plans, providing applied technology support in a learning setting; providing instructional media resources for teachers and students; providing instruction in library skills and information research skills; and locating, purchasing and processing instructional support materials.
Qualifications: The successful applicant needs to posses high energy, demonstrate outstanding collaborative people skills, an ability to relate well with students of all ages, outstanding personal, professional technology skills, and a desire to provide leadership and vision for the districts in new technology.
Requirements: Applicant must be certified by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, License 91, 902 or other applicable license.
