There will be a quick Class of 2016 meeting during homeroom today. We need to vote on minis and update everyone on the Prom.

SB/BB pitchers will be dismissed from the office at 3:05 today. Although we do not have school next week, the softball and baseball players will be practicing in Laona on Monday and Tuesday. The bus will depart Wabeno at 3:10. Junior high volleyball will also be having practice on Monday and Tuesday in Wabeno from 3:30-5:30. Please talk to y our coaches regarding any additional practices over break that may be planned.
TODAY is the last day for the COIN WAR!!! Please have all change in your buckets by 3:00 p.m. as the buckets will be collected during STAT.
Due to the lack of participants, the Talent Show is cancelled. We will however have a PBIS assembly during STAT to hand out prizes and to go over April’s incentives and expectations. Also, we will have a mandatory locker clean out! Anyone needing plastic bags you can get them in the office. Also, please check the lost and found area before leaving today.

The Wabeno Youth Basketball Association will be having a 3 on 3 basketball tournament on April 10-12, 2015 at the Wabeno High School. Teams will be guaranteed 3 games. Sweet Memories Candy Shoppe is looking for applicants to join their fun, family friendly, fast-paced shop. You will be able to play your summer fun around your job. Your entire schedule will be set at the time of hire with every other weekend off. Apply in person at Sweet Memories Candy Shoppe in Lakewood any time after March 25 or come to an open application/interview day: Thursday, April 2 (8-10 a.m. or Thursday, April 16 ( 3-5 p.m.)
The Lakes Country Public Library is looking for a summer intern. This is a ten week opportunity to learn more about how your library works in a pleasant and stimulating environment. You will have the opportunity to enhance your library skills while building your resume for college. Applications are available from Mrs. Rocole or at the library. All applications are due at the library April 15, 2015. An information flyer is posted outside of the office.
The USDA-Forest Service, Chequamegon/National Forest, Lakewood/Laona Ranger District is seeking applicants for the Youth Conservation Corps program. YCC is a summer employment program for young men and women, who will work, learn and earn for 8 weeks on projects that help conserve the national resources of the United States. There are two positions that will be filled, one at Lakewood and one at Laona Ranger District. Each position is in recreation with the primary duties of: cleaning campsites and restrooms, litter pick up, grass mowing, brush cutting, trail maintenance and gate and sign painting. The Forest County Detachment of the Marine Corps League has established a $200 scholarship to be awarded to a high school senior currently attending school in Forest County. To be considered for this scholarship you must be an immediate relative of an active duty member, reservist, or veteran of the U.S. military. Interested seniors please see Mrs. Rocole.
